?PARTICIPATION FEE(will be paid cash/card at the workshop): 200 lei/ participant ( includes 2 pcs suture needles, size 8/0 or 9/0 , nylon monofilament ). You can buy EXTRA needles for 15Lei/pcs, or you can bring your own needles. Students get a 50Lei discount(with the proof of student card)

LEVEL1 is a 3+ hours hands-on workshop, organized by our team of trainers, for medical students and residents.
Limited to 6 participants/ workshop, so each participant will work on it's own microscope/loupes (and yes, we have a REAL fully functional SURGICAL OPERATING MICROSCOPE with foot pedal controls).
The purpose of this workshop is to:
?offer students the opportunity to see if they have what it takes to be a good micro-surgeon: a high degree of manual dexterity, good hand eye coordination, patience, tremor control, stress management, so they can decide if they want to pursue this career.
At Level1 workshop you will:
?Attend an interactive presentation of clinical use cases, applications of microsurgery, specific instruments, techinques etc...aprox.1 hour
?Practice (Hands-on): Learn to operate the microscope and use the special microsurgical instruments, learn knots&sutures on latex and biological material ... aprox 3+ hours with coffee breaks ☕.

Congratulations!???You proved that you have the skills and patience to do microsurgery, and you are now ready for the next challenge!
At LEVEL2 workshop you will:
a) attend an interactive 30 min presentation??
b) do a 10 min warm-up by practicing sutures on silicone to remember what you did on Level1;
c) learn some tips&tricks for improving your skills, finesse and speed when doing microsutures in different hand positions;
d) practice anastomoses on artifical vessels(special silicone tubes 2-4 mm diameter produced in our MedWorkshops laboratory) and cherry tomatoes (you must be very careful not to break the skin);
Time: aprox 3+ hours with coffe breaks on silicone tubes.
This will prepare you for LEVEL3 (microvascular anastomoses on chicken legs) and Level4 (anastomoses on live rats), more detail in the form
