Performing all their hits and collected favourites from their musical pasts, as well some of their new material - just $20pp... dinner & drinks at menu prices!A bit about Mick Pealing:
From the days of 'The Ideals', to 'The Stars' (and his smash hit "The Mighty Rock") and 'The Spaniards', Mick has been a part of the Australian Rock Elite for more than a generation.
Not actually knowing he could sing, or have a voice that might be pleasing to the ear, Mick decided one afternoon in the early 70's to go to a local concert put on by some local musos, where he reluctantly got up to sing after being pointed out as someone who might know the words to "Alright Now". Although he sang with his back to the audience, Mick sang the song well enough to be asked to join the band. This band contained two members which, would become "Stars".
Mick is well known as one of Australia’s finest voices in rock, roots and popular music, with a strong blues influence and sound.
A bit about Nick Charles:
Those who have seen him perform live over the past 30 years or so, listened to his recordings or read his excellent Rhythms column will be well aware of Nick Charles’s considerable prowess as an acoustic guitar finger-picker and his expertise over a wide range of roots music.
The Victorian’s penchant for producing engaging and eclectic albums that encompass folk, blues and beyond is endorsed by Guitar Music, in which eight of his own compositions are scattered among immaculately delivered covers of Davey Graham’s well- thumbed solo study “Anji”, Duane Allman’s “Little Martha”, Mississippi John Hurt’s “Monday Morning Blues”, John Fahey’s “Last Steam Engine Train” and the Farina Brother’s standard “Sleepwalk”.

A bit about Ed Bates:
Ed is a much loved and respected Melbourne musician. These days the “go to” master of the pedal steel, but whose professional musical journey started way back as guitarist/songwriter for the Pelaco Bros and The Sports, to name but a few.
As a steel player, Ed’s performed and recorded with many Australian artists, from the Black Sorrows, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Rick Price, First Aid Kit, Bakelite Radio, Darlinghurst, Shaky Stills and Jack Howard’s Long Lost Brothers – finding ways to use the instrument that step outside the typical “country” expectation.
In the upcoming arcobar event, Ed will be playing the slide guitar alongside Mick Pealing & Nick Charles. All together - they are something special!
