The Missouri Ozarks is both home and backdrop to Mick Byrd, who has performed at Nashville’s Bluebird Café for over 20 years. When joined by other extremely talented, independent musicians, they collectively become The Backroad Band. Ray Spiller brings his cajón and percussion instruments which adds that groove at a tasteful volume. Long-time guitarist extraordinaire, Brad Edwards has toured, worked as a studio musician and owned a studio. Thankfully he prefers playing these days. Sharing the lead guitar role is another well-seasoned performer and very talented musician, Dennis Layne Schubert. Mick was selected as a May, 2022 Missouri Featured Artist of the Missouri Arts Council, sponsored by Mid-America Arts Alliance.
