Welcome to the Sliders Cup!!Sunday June 5th - this is part of the Michigan Cornhole League State Championship Weekend!
We are excited to bring a Ryder Cup format to Cornhole here in Michigan!
Although there are alot of players that travel regularly to play cornhole, there are many local groups where players hone their cornhole skills playing within a group close to home.
BAGS WILL FLY AT 11:00 AM - Team Check in will start at 10:00 am.
THE TEAM:
Each Squad will consist of 10 players!
-All players are welcome!
-each squad must have at least 3 intermediate players (C level) which is below a 7.0 ppr
-Each Squad MUST have both Men and Women on the squad.
-Each Squads director (organizer of that group) will be the Captain for their respective team and may assign captains for additional teams.
-All players on that Squad should be wearing matching uniforms
-Squad Captains will need to submitt a roster with players ranked in order of 1-10 in singles and doubles teams 1-5.
THIS ISN'T A 10 person Crew cup team- this is an ORGANIZED GROUP OF PLAYERS that play under a group name on a regular basis.
THE TOURNAMENT:
This will be a double elimination bracket of Groups! Your squad can lose one match and still win! If you lose 2 matches you are eliminated.
A match will consist of-
- 10 singles games
-5 doubles games
A point will be awarded for every game won. A total of 15 points are available, each squad will need 8 to move on. We will play all games out even if 8 points is reached prior to the completion of all the games.
PRIZES:
CASH PRIZES TO THE TOP 3 TEAMS (30 players)
80% of the entire entry for this event will be paid out.
50% to 1st place
30% to 2nd place
20% to 3rd place
There will also be a most valuable player award, trophies and of course the MAIN PRIZE - BRAGGING RIGHTS!!!
