Title: Modern Restorative Materials Update with Dr. David Juliani
This course will update attendees on advancements in today’s modern restorative materials to include traditional and high strength chairside ceramics, bonding agents, light curing units, and cementation protocols. Diagnostic standards and treatment planning will be reviewed to improve quadrant efficiency while at the same time increase office production and revenue per hour.
Topics will include:
- Introduced to advances in modern curing lights that allow for more predictable, less sensitive, efficient appointments.
- Introduced to one single bonding agent that can be used for EVERY direct and indirect procedure in the office.
- Able to determine when to bond or conventionally cement and what systems are available for specific ceramics.
- Modern Chairside Zirconia advances to include finishing and bonding/cementing options.
- Updates on chairside traditional and high strength ceramics to include zirconia advances that improve strength and esthetics.

Instructor: Dr. David Juliani, DDS
David M. Juliani, DDS practices general, family, cosmetic, orthodontic and emergency dentistry. Dr. Juliani graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 1993. He completed a one year General Practice Residency, after which he served two years at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. He is a Cerec® basic and advanced trainer. Dr. Juliani is a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and also a member of the Michigan Dental Forensic Identification Team. For the sixth consecutive year, he has been listed as one of America’s Top Dentists by the Consumer Research Council of America, and one of Detroit’s Top Dentists by Hour Detroit Magazine.

- Efficiency for single-unit and quadrant cases, including streamlined design protocols, time-saving shortcuts, and updated software features.
- Anterior esthetics with tips on achieving natural translucency, internal characterization, and proper shade matching.
- Occlusal accuracy using design strategies that minimize adjustments while maximizing function and longevity.
- Tool selection and customization techniques that improve precision and reduce polishing time.
- Material selection guidance for predictable outcomes based on clinical indication and esthetic demands.
Option B:
Title: Maximizing Restorations with IPS e.max CAD & ZirCAD PRIME Zirconia with Gary Osborn, CDT
In this program, you will learn techniques to produce high quality esthetic restorations that harmonize with the adjacent natural teeth.
This course will cover contouring and texturing techniques for lithium disilicate in the "blue state" as well as highlight the proper burs and tools to achieve natural looking restorations.
Additionally, finishing techniques for posterior zirconia restorations made with IPS e.max ZirCAD Prime block will be performed.

Instructor: Gary Osborn, CDT
Gary Osborn, CDT, brings over 30 years of experience as a dental lab technician and educator. Trained in the U.S. Air Force at Sheppard AFB, he taught Dental Lab Technology at the Department of Defense Dental Lab School and served as a dental product evaluator for the Air Force Dental Evaluation Service. Currently, he is a Technical Consultant at Ivoclar Vivadent, providing product support, troubleshooting, and education in All-Ceramic and Metal Ceramic restorations, with extensive presentations across the U.S. and Canada.
