Michelle Malone's latest album, Southern Comfort (10/4 24), is a guitar-driven Americana singer songwriter record cowritten in part with Dean Dillon of TN Whiskey fame, and features special guests Buddy Miller, Rick Richards (Georgia Satellites) Will Kimbrough (Emmylou Harris), Charlie Starr and Paul Jackson (Blackberry Smoke), and Randall Bramblett. This timeless music is a sound for everywhere and for everyone. Malone gives her songs a sense of place while still making them sound universal, and that talent - the sharp edge of the songwriting itself — is perhaps the most comforting thing about her latest record.
