Join us for a free presentation by Michelle LeBlanc, founder of Project Pride.
From Michelle: "For the last 13 years, I've worked in various roles within the field of aging. I've worked for the largest Canadian longitudinal study on aging, I have a Master's degree in Gerontology (social science of aging) with a focus on the motivations and experiences of older rock climbers. I've worked in a long-term care facility at the height of the pandemic in Squamish, and now work for the Palliative Care Society of the Bow Valley. I've often witnessed how climbing may be a vehicle to help society embrace aging.
"Climbing builds community, and I want to share with you how I've experienced this on so many levels...from Fredericton, Halifax, Seoul, Squamish, to Canmore, and beyond."
Be sure to support the Canmore Brewing Company! For over five years they've been letting us use the space for free to run events like this.
