All welcome for the highlight of our annual lecture series, doors open from 6:15 for 🍰 ☕️ 📚 and the chance to meet Michael!Prof Scott is a prolific broadcaster, author and public engagement specialist who was the recipient of the Classical Association Prize in 2021 and has been our wonderful President since we were founded in 2014.
In his 2025 talk, Michael will focus on the highlight of the ancient Athenian religious and cultural calendar, the Panathenaic Festival, and shed new light on its history. Michael combines his academic work with his position as Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International) at the University of Warwick and you can read about his latest book on archaeology, X Marks the Spot, on his website.
