Each regular SAS meeting begins with a guest speaker presentation, followed by our monthly auction. We also hold a raffle and have a sales table with club merchandise and fish bagging supplies available for members and guests.The Sacramento Aquarium Society is proud to welcome yet another international speaker, Michael Köck from the Goodeid Working Group.
Michael Köck is an Austrian biologist and lifelong aquarist with more than 25 years of experience working with Goodeids. He served for many years as curator at the Haus des Meeres Aqua Terra Zoo in Vienna, where he helped develop conservation-focused freshwater programs. A co-founder of the Goodeid Working Group, Michael now works full-time in Mexico, leading efforts to protect, breed, and restore these threatened fish populations in the wild. At this meeting, Michael will share how the funds raised at FIN-DIG directly support ongoing Goodeid conservation efforts and give our members an inside look at the critical work being carried out by the Goodeid Working Group.
