Michael Hale is a long time veteran of the Austin, Texas music scene. He began a long and fruitful career here starting back in 1981 first performing at Waterloo Ice House and Ragtime, with No Compromise, then a host of other venues that have come and gone, with a few like Antone's, The Elephant Room, and Flamingo Cantina still remaining. He has held residencies for the last few years at Half Step, The Continental Club Gallery, and King Bee Lounge. Michael will be bringing the Michael Hale Quintet to Monk's Jazz on Wednesday November 26th at 8pm. Joining him on keys is Jonathan E. Deas, long time member of MHOT, Blake O'Neal, another member of MHOT on guitar, Austin Jazz veteran Michael Stevens on bass, and Mr. Jorion Dawson on saxophone. He continues to share love and music with all who will receive it.
Please Note: This is a live-taping, so we'll be enforcing a whisper-policy! Cold bottles of still and sparkling water will be available for purchase, but this event is BYOB. Ice will be available if needed, wine keys and 9oz cups provided! 22 free parking spaces onsite are first-come-first-serve. Doors at 7:45pm, Show at 8pm.
