Miata Madness

Join us for a weekend slice of classic, door-to-door sim racing: Miata Madness puts the Mazda MX‑5 Cup Car through its paces on the short, historic Lime Rock Park layout (South Chicane). If you love tight, competitive racing and the kind of close battles that make your palms sweat, this one’s for you.

- The Mazda MX‑5 Cup Car is famed for nimble handling, balanced performance, and close, competitive racing. Built from the iconic MX‑5 Miata road car with race‑ready safety and performance upgrades, it’s a machine that rewards momentum, precision, and consistency.  

- Lime Rock Park is a compact, historic American road course with a storied past — IMSA, SCCA, Trans‑Am and more — and the South Chicane (added in 2008) tightens the layout for intense, technical laps. Notable names like Sam Posey, Mark Donohue, and Paul Newman have all battled here, adding to the circuit’s legacy.  

- Put the MX‑5 Cup Car on Lime Rock’s short, twisty lap and you get classic wheel‑to‑wheel action: momentum‑focused corners, late braking into multi‑line turns, and lap‑after‑lap tugs for position. It’s a recipe for close, entertaining races — ideal for racers who love clean, skillful competition.

The MX‑5 Cup has built a reputation as a proving ground for talent because its parity and handling characteristics create very tight racing.
