The idea to do a benefit event for Will (Miagi) was conceived by Zeke Detrich (of Signal The Sentinel and Abdullah The Butcher). He and his bandmate, Billy Bosley asked for my assistance in trying to make this happen to help Will with his medical bills and life expenses. For those that don’t know, Will is a certified tree surgeon that owns and operates Will’s Certified Tree Care. In September, Will was severely injured when a tree fell on him. He broke several bones in his body and had to undergo a surgery to get back on the road to recovery. This has impacted his business and brought it to a complete stop. Since he’s a business owner, he also has to pay for his own healthcare bills which have racked up tremendously. Let’s help him out! Will is a well established 814 Metal alumni. The former vocalist of Manokin, drummer for Beyond Silence, creator and founder of 814 Metal Fest and now the vocalist for Gelatin Skeleton. I just happened to be in the process of booking Joe Buck Yourself (Hank III, Assjack) at Basement Transmissions when Zeke and Billy asked about doing this. I’d only booked Crop Circle Worship (3 of 4 DredNeks members’ band) to open at the time and the idea to combine it all into one huge show seemed perfect to me. So hellbilly punk and folk meets metal on December 21 at Basement Transmissions. All proceeds after event costs will go directly to Will Allen. Gelatin Skeleton, Souls Collapse, Anam Cara, Brotherhood Of The Jam, Abdullah The Butcher, ZaKrahe, Signal The Sentinel, Scars Of Agony & Storms Within are also confirmed to play. $15 presale tickets are available (hit the ticket link on this event page or message me) and it will cost $20 at the door on the day of the show without a ticket.
