Marigold presents a colorful flight of Northeastern indie gems of the underground and fae-realm underbrush – Mia Friedman (Hollow Deck etc) brings a spellbinding collision of modern and traditional folk joined by lo-fi folk songwriter Samuel Boat, Brattleboro dream jazz favorites Beetsblog, and Southern Maine’s diy supergroup Pond 1000.

MIA FRIEDMAN (Wma): fiddler, singer, banjo player, composer and educator. Mia plays with Hollow Deck, a duo that paints sonic landscapes using tape collage, vocals and woodwinds; Ari and Mia--an internationally-touring Americana band with her sister; and this evening performs her own compositions which blend original and traditional folk music with sparse and strange arrangements.

SAMUEL BOAT (Catskills): soda pop rock and psychy folk-music from the mystic southern mountains of New York state. Let Sam Lisabeth’s sweet musings change your worldly outlook. “Nice day for a daydream”

POND 1000 (Maine): formed in 2023 in southern Maine by four long time members of the northeast and midwest indie/noise rock and diy scenes. Katie McShane’s (Spirits Having Fun) pure crooning voice glides like wind over gritty experimental rock on their spring 2025 release, “daffodiL”

BEETSBLOG (Brattleboro): Dream jazz & bedroom pop. The deeply talented Taggie and friends bring a soft zephyr of tuneful pop that both tame the uncertainty in your heart and offer a challenging soundscape for a hopeful future. They are not ever to be missed!
