Mi Tierra the Latin band based in Canberra, will be celebrating its 30 years of foundation on Saturday the 9th of November in an electrifying and unforgettable night of musicianship and Latin dancing, with rhythms such as Salsa, Timba, Mambo, Cha Cha Cha, Bachata, Merengue, Cumbia and more.In 1994 when Renier Rojas arrived in Australia, he formed his band with his childrens, nieces, and nephew to play at family gatherings, without thinking that one day it would become the best Latin band in Australia.
Since then they have played in different states in Australia and beyond, reaching their highest peak in 2011, when they won the first place of Latin bands competition in Australia, among more than 40 bands of different states, becoming the Australia's leading Latin band.
Since 1994 Mi Tierra has had more than 40 musicians as members, including pianists and horn players, most of them graduates or students of the Canberra school of music.
