Feeling stuck creatively or ready to try something new with your photography? This February, Metro PPA is hosting a hands-on meeting focused on painting with light.Join us for an interactive program with master photographer Joe Glyda. You’ll learn how light painting works, see examples of how photographers use it creatively, and then create your own images using light and long exposure. This is a create-not-watch kind of meeting designed to get you experimenting and learning alongside other photographers.
Please bring your camera, tripod, and a flashlight 🔦
This month also includes our image competition 🏆 The February theme is Light Up the Dark 🌙
For this theme, please do not submit light painting images. Think creatively about other ways to use light in dark environments, to evoke mood, or for storytelling.
An optional, pay-your-own-way dinner with the speaker 🍽 will take place at 5:00 PM at Louie’s Grill & Bar, 1389 E 15th St in Edmond.
The meeting will be held on Monday, February 9, from 6:30 to 9:00 PM 🕡
