About this Event

Ready to learn the latest on clean energy in the metro? It’s time to gather for the free annual Metro CERT event!

Gather with us for conversations about equitable project funding and increasing diversity in the clean energy workforce — two important discussions about more inclusive paths for all in the clean energy economy. Plus hear more about the work and resources CERTs can connect you and your community with to accelerate clean energy solutions.

If you've attended in the past, you know that it’s a great way to meet, connect, and engage with others interested in this work. Gather with your neighbors from community-based organizations, local businesses, governments, utilities, clean energy industries, and others interested in clean energy! We especially encourage new attendees and local residents to join us.

Let's learn from each other and share great food and conversation!

Getting There

The MacMillan Community and Education Center within Abbott Northwestern is convenient to reach by biking, walking, and transit.

From the Midtown Greenway, take the Lake Street exit between 10th & 11th Ave S. Turn left on 10th Ave and continue south to reach the East entrance of the Midtown Exchange.

Or, take the stairs from the Greenway to reach Chicago Ave, turn left and take Chicago Ave south, and turn left at the Transit Center to reach the West entrance of the Midtown Exchange on Elliot Ave.

Public bike racks are available at both entrances.

By Transit, Routes 21, 5 and the D Line stop at the Transit Center off Chicago Ave just north of Lake Street. Proceed east to reach the West entrance of the Midtown Exchange on Elliot Ave.

From the Midtown Exchange Parking Ramp on Lake Street between 10th & 11th Ave S., cross 10th Ave to reach the East entrance of the Midtown Exchange.

Navigating the building

Once inside, from the street level Midtown Exchange East or West entrance, or Midtown Global Market, continue into the north end of the building, away from Lake Street, and follow the hallway back to the skyway over the Midtown Greenway.

After crossing the skyway, you will arrive at the elevator and stairs to the MacMillan Community and Education Center, one level up. The hallway leads here and nowhere else so just keep going, you’ll find us!

From the Abbott Northwestern Purple Ramp at Chicago Ave and E 28th St, take the elevators or stairs at the east end of the ramp to the 3rd (skyway) level and exit to the skyway. Turn right to reach the MacMillan Community and Education Center.

EV chargers: There are 10 dual port level 2 chargers in the Purple Ramp.

Accessibility

The MacMillan Community and Education Center is one floor above Midtown Exchange street level, with elevator and stair access directly outside the Center entrance. There are two accessible private restrooms and two shared restrooms. The Center also has a lactation room and a quiet room available.
