Acting with Mike Caza: A Comprehensive Approach to the Craft-Now on Thursdays!
This course provides the perfect platform for actors seeking to hone their skills across all mediums. Mike Caza’s approach integrates scene study and collaborative learning, fostering not just individual growth but also an understanding of the craft through observing peers. This dynamic method allows students to gain valuable insights in a supportive environment, free from the pressures of direct scrutiny.
Mike’s philosophy emphasizes versatility, guiding actors to harness their passion and channel it effectively toward achieving their goals in the entertainment industry.
Class Details:
- Date & Time: Wednesday the 22nd 6:00pm to 10:00pm(by donation).
- Class Structure (4 Hours):
- ½ Hour: Relaxation exercises to center the mind and body.
- ½ Hour: Sensory exercises to enhance emotional depth and responsiveness.
- 3 Hours: Scene study with in-depth evaluation. Students are paired to perform and receive constructive feedback.
- Note: Students must bring a prepared monologue for the scene study component.
Looking ahead to 2025, all classes will take place on Thursdays, offering a consistent schedule for participants.
About Mike Caza:With over three decades of experience in stage, film, and theatre, Mike Caza brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to his teaching. His journey began at the University of Ottawa, where his love for acting first took root. He continued his training at Toronto Studio Players, The Brooke Studio, and Second City.
In 1989, Mike relocated to Los Angeles to study at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. There, he delved deeply into the craft, fully embracing its complexities and possibilities. His dedication to acting and teaching makes him a transformative mentor for aspiring actors.
