This month, with the passing of Imbolc, winter begins to fade. But the nights are still long, the weather remains cold, and the snows slowly recede from the higher elevations. Our model, in the deep woods, metamorphoses into (and amongst) those creatures who live here throughout the long dark winter. Cost is $20-$30 sliding scale which can be paid at the event. If you are well resourced please consider paying the higher amount. This will keep this event accessible to many. *Otherwise the cost of this event will go up to $30 for everyone*
As always, two free-access volunteer slots are available for:
-Setup from 4-6pm or
-Teardown from 10-11pm
Metamorphosis is a high-production ritual nude figure drawing event. The sound track, lights, stage design and effects are an important part of the production. Models for Metamorphosis aspect gods, goddesses, archetypes, animals, forces of nature and fae, and often follows the Wheel of the Year.
These sessions are meant for people who want inspiration representing the human / animal / fae / spirit figure.
No instruction is provided, but no skill level is expected either.
You are encouraged to bring your own paper and / or art supplies of any medium you wish. Some extra paper, charcoal and graphite supplies will be provided.
All material mediums are welcome!
Metamorphosis Figure Drawing takes place on the third Thursday of every month Fall through Spring.
