Join us for this beginner’s workshop where participants of all skill levels are introduced to the art of Aluminum-Metal Embossing (Repousse). This is a great starting point for individuals interested in trying something new, or learning more about the starting techniques of metal tooling on soft metal.
Your Instructor, Tracy Nixon, will introduce you to the traditional art of metal tooling and the many different types of projects metal embossing can be used for. She will then walk you through: budget-friendly set-up; transferring your chosen design onto a soft metal; the techniques of repousse and chasing/embossing; and how to use a variety of tools to create a low relief design.
Participants are encouraged to bring reference images and/or own hand drawn designs to create their own finished relief design of choice. All supplies are included in the cost.
This class is intended for ages 16+
