Metal 4 Meals II is the 2nd Annual Food Drive Event for Food for Lane County.
This event is a community event that benefits the community as a whole, via food drive and raising money through raffles etc for food for lane county, showcasing independent metal artists and funding their career further, continued support of the historical nonprofit venue the WOW Hall to generate revenue to keep the doors open and continue to serve the community with wonderful events like this as well as promotes local small businesses that sponsor the event with goods and services to raffle and raise money for Food for Lane County. This is truly an event that captures a community coming together to help everyone involved in its production. I’m proud to be part of such a community where things like this can become an annual event. I hope to see you all there next year!! Let’s make this huge!!
New World Sinner is the first to join this event as it is Metal Boots's band he fronts. New World Sinner has been in the Willamette Valley Metal Scene since Feb of 2008. N.W.S. has always made it their way to help their fellow bands in the scene as well as the community around them being part of multiple food drives, benefits and fund raisers over the years. Boots's moto is "do good things and have fun!". The Crowd's Entertainment is always in mind when they perform.
First to join N.W.S. in this event is "Damage Overdose!!"
They are a Native American Metal band Hailing from Warmsprings, Oregon. They have been raging the scene since 1997 and will hit the stage with us at this event for the first time. N.W.S. is so excited for this opportunity to finally play with such a killer independent metal band devoted to their fans and playing their tunes to any crowd ready to hear them shred.
Bloody Pineapples a international music project with a multitude of contributing members from all over the world on their recordings with a majority of its live performing members located in the Eugene and surrounding areas has been added to the bill by request. They bring a Unique flavor to every event with never knowing which members or how many members will participate in each event. Most of it's Eugene area members are very good friends of N.W.S. and were excited to be part of this event.
Coming in on request our old friends from the North "PROVEN!!!" Claiming the Portland area as home this old school influenced hardcore metal band rose to the occasion when asked to jump on the bill. Proven has been around for long than N.W.S. and has always been a great friend to us and we have shared the stage many times over the years.
Next Up to Join the Bill is "Harness" coming from the Salem area. Harness is a long time friend of N.W.S. and was eager to jump on this bill to aid in this great community event. Harness has taken some time off but is ready to come back and make a killer appearance for this event with some fresh faces added to the bands lineup.
Sponsors so far for this event;
“Ashley Bridges Art” (tattoo artist)
Is returning for a 2nd year and will be donating 4x $150 tattoo certificates for a value of $600 donated in raffle prizes. Ashley was the first to jump to aid for the 2nd annual event after being the only sponsor to the last event. Ashley contacted me just days before the first event after hearing about it and offered to help raise money for Food for Lane County. I was so moved by a stranger offering to help me that it inspired me to want to build the 2nd annual’s Raffle for the event even bigger than the first. Thank you Ashley for stepping up!
“Area 51 Piercing” jumped on board to donate $500 worth of piercing gift certificates to be raffled off to aid in raising funds for Food for Lane County. Jared Hill owner responded “Absolutely” when I asked him to be part of this event and was quick to offer a generous offering to the Raffle. Thank you sir!
“Something Beautiful Tattoo” is donating 3x $100 tattoo gift certificates for a value of $300 to add to the raffle. When owner Robbie Mills saw me put the Batman logo in the sky looking for local small business to aid in my event he didn’t hesitate to message me immediately to jump on board and offer his help to the event. Thank you!!
“Retro Joes” a recently acquired friend was quick to respond to me about his local small business being part of this event. Retro Joes is a retro pop culture shop located in Springfield that has movies of all types in VHS, DVD, Blue Ray, Laserdisc, music of all types on CD an Album, games on all our favorite retro consoles, in addition to posters and all sorts or retro pop culture memorabilia to choose from to take you back to our younger years of the simpler times. Retro Joes has donated a $50 gift certificate for the raffle, an will bring a gift basket of retro fun to raffle. In addition to donating to the raffle he intends to donate his time and game console’s time to bring for the kids to play between bands at the show!! Thank you for your unique contribution to our event!!
“Curious Customs” my own curiosities art small business will be donating an art piece to be auctioned off. I love to express myself through music and art, and I’ve always had a interest in the “Strange and unusual, cause I myself am strange an unusual” so I started making curiosity art in my free time to further my artistic outlet and show the world that nature can bare beauty in life and in death. I will be making a art piece specially for this event to be auctioned off to the highest bidder with all proceeds going to Food for Lane County,
“The Crypt” Alternative Thrift and Curiosities store Located in the down town Springfield area, has jumped in to add to the raffle fun with a $80 gift certificate to contribute to the raffle to raise more money for Food for Lane County. The Crypt has quickly become my daughter and wife’s favorite place to find alternative cloths, CDs, buttons, oddities and curiosities and other fun stuff they find at this store. I was so happy to add them to our lineup of sponsors. Thank you for joining in!!
Joining the Promotion army for this event will be 2 great friends of the metal scene and to me, “2 Black Sheets Productions” and “Kym Krash Entertainment”. They will be donating their time and energy to the promotion of this event to aid in making this event huge for all involved especially Food for Lane County, The WOW Hall nonprofit venue, and Independent Music artists of Oregon that will be performing their art at this event.
On the photography Team we will have David Putzier of Pixelscapes Photography and Dean Yarnell of Rock Photography donating their time and energy to capture the show and the musicians all night to not only document the nights success but to give the musicians some killer shots to add to their portfolio of live performance essence captured in picture form. These 2 photographers have been in the music scene shooting picture and helping catch the musicians of our scene like Pokemon for a while now and deserve a huge bit of Thanks from the entire music community. Thank You!!

More details to follow as the show draws near.
