About this Event
Learn from present legend (Prof Roy Goodacre, Liverpool Uni) and emerging legend (Dr Cassio Lima, Liverpool Uni) together with Dr Mustafa Kansiz (Photothermal Spectroscopy Corp.) on the use and utility of vibrational spectroscopy and imaging with submicron simultaneous IR(O-PTIR)+Raman for bacterial and other life science applications, such as cells and tissues.
Learn about how with O-PTIR one can get metabolic activity at the single bacterial cell level, non-destructively with little to no sample preparation. Coupled with stable isotopic labelling, these emerging techniques are a powerful tool to explore antimicrobial resistance, bioremediation and bacterial metabolism pathways.
