Delivered in partnership with Little Learners, Messy Play at Fabrica is a monthly 1 hour session that encourages children to explore the world through messy sensory experience, mark-making and movement in the unique setting of Fabrica art gallery. In October, Messy Play is inspired by the Photo Fringe 2024, a month-long festival celebrating photography, and Fabrica's associated window gallery exhibit by British photographer, Tish Murtha, who documented marginalised communities and working class life in the North East of England from the 1980's to 2010's.
We will be 'striking a pose!' with our photography theme through our messy play trays, paint, playdough, crafts and mark-making stations. We will be exploring family portraits made of oats and spaghetti, making squishy faces with playdough and pasta, making our mark in the gloopy, yellow 'flash' tray and dressing up in our photobooth area in this exciting session, full of different textures and sensory experiences, designed and led by a qualified teacher.
Little Learners is a multi award-winning preschool company which offers educational messy play for babies to pre-schoolers (5 months to 5 years). Babies and preschool children of all abilities are welcome to attend Messy Play. If you’d like to chat about whether Messy Play is suitable for your little one please get in touch by email: [email protected]
