The school of the family is here! This course, taught by Mike and Alicia Hernon of the Messy Family Project, is designed to open up parents of all ages to God’s vision for marriage and to teach them the habits they need to transform family life. It’s part marriage renewal, part parenting course, and part retreat.
The retreat will begin with a date night and introductory session on Friday evening, followed by three more sessions, prayer, and lunch on Saturday. There will be opportunities for mentoring with Mike and Alicia between sessions.
Mike and Alicia will walk couples through the four atomic habits of the home:
1. Parents’ secret weapon: how to grow a dynamic family culture
2. How to step more fully into your role in forming your children
3. Why and how to make your marriage the foundation of the family
4. How to become the spiritual leaders of your home
They will share wisdom and principles that are applicable to families young and old, mainly focusing on sharing the practical tools needed to not just survive but thrive as a family.
