At the beginning of the school year, what a better theme than hope for our first ever Messy Church.Alongside painting rainbow skies, where each rainbow colour contained a different Bible verse exploring the hope we can have in God looking out for us in different ways, we made little bags of hope, pencil toppers, completed jigsaws representing hope, and coloured in.
Our celebration focused on one Bible passage in particular: Jeremiah 29 - have a look at verse 11 - and we shared our hopes for the future with each other - some more niche than others! :-)
I'm thrilled that our guests took most of their creations home, but that they also left some to share with you all.
Thank you for bringing food to share, and for sharing your time and company with us.

Theme is Harvest, which is all about sharing God's gifts, so we're accepting donations of toiletries for refugee families, and if that means you can't bring food to share, that's absolutely fine. We'll provide.
