Composed and premiered in a German concentration camp, Olivier Messiaen’s Quartet for the End of Time reflects the war-torn landscape of World War II and references the Book of Revelation. It juxtaposes incredible tragedy and loss with the hope of life beyond war and death. This concert will include a lecture presentation about the quartet and a live performance of the piece.
