Author Merryn Glover and Singer-Songwriter Jenny Sturgeon will speak about Nan Shepherd, Scottish Nature Writing, and how the wanderer and author's works inspire their own art today.
Merryn Glover is the award-winning author of fiction, drama, poetry and journalism based in the Cairngorms. Her newest book is The Hidden Fires: A Cairngorms Journey with Nan Shepherd, short-listed for the Boardman Tasker Prize for Mountain Literature and The Great Outdoors Book of the Year.
Jenny Sturgeon is a Scottish singer-songwriter, multi-instramentalist and sound artist. Her album "The Living Mountain" was inspired by Nan Shepherd's book of the same name and won Best Acoustic at the 2020 Scottish Alternative Music Awards.
