Pittsburgh TubaChristmas is one of several hundred TubaChristmas events held around the world each year, with the goals of spreading holiday cheer and raising awareness of just how awesome mass groups of tubas and euphoniums can sound! TubaChristmas groups are comprised of amateur, professional, and student musicians of all ages, who keep coming back year after year for these one-day events. In this 51st year of TubaChristmases, our Pittsburgh event will be held on the afternoon of Saturday, December 7. I co-coordinate this event with the students of the Nu Gamma chapter of the Kappa Kappa Psi music service fraternity at Robert Morris University, and we delighted to have Dr. James Gourlay as our guest conductor, with a special appearance by past guest conductor Jack Anderson as well.
