A celebration of everyday creativity and the turning year, hosted by Dave Camlin with Sing Owt! and Wild Chorus community choirs.Inspired by the traditional Cumbrian Merry Neet, a lively and inclusive community gathering where everyone who wants to can showcase their creativity by 'doing a turn', and where everyone comes away feeling uplifted with community spirit!
Each Merry Neet has a theme, often inspired by an international day of celebration or the turning of the seasons. Join us as performers or audience to share songs, stories, poems, dances, jokes or anything else you fancy around the chosen theme. Express your creative side, or simply share in the creative spirit!
This evening before the winter solstice, our theme is 'light in the darkness'.
