Attention all local artisans, Art Center students, instructors, and passionate creators - the Merry & Bright Art Market is your chance to shine! This annual art and craft sale is a holiday shopping destination, where the public eagerly awaits to discover unique, handmade treasures crafted by our vibrant community. With an eager audience ready to support small businesses and champion local artistry, prepare to be Merry & Bright this holiday season.
• Merry & Bright Art Market invites local artists, students, and instructors to enter complete fine art and crafts with no entry fee for a maximum of 25 pieces of artwork.
• Work is not required to be holiday themed; however, holiday-themed work will also be accepted.
• Artists must be 18 years of age or older to participate.
• PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. THE DEADLINE TO PRE-REGISTER IS NOVEMBER 22, 2024, by 3pm. Pre-registration is at the front desk in Building 2. You will receive your artist number, inventory sheet, price stickers and vendor registration instructions. The CITY OF CAPE CORAL VENDOR REGISTRATION MUST BE COMPLETE BY THE PRE-REGISTRATION DEADLINE and is required for artist payout.
• All pieces must be listed on your inventory sheet, priced, and labeled with the artist number you were assigned at pre-registration.
• Prices are pre-determined by the artist(s) for each piece of artwork. Sets must be packaged together and cannot be separated while on display.
• Work MUST BE ORIGINAL, complete, and clean. No broken, old, or repaired work will be accepted.
• The use of AI (artificial intelligence) in the finished artwork is NOT allowed. Digital art may be subject to further screening and/or removal from the exhibition in the case that it is found to have been rendered using AI.
• Hanging works must not exceed 15 lbs.
• The artist(s) will accept any means used by the gallery committee to enable a piece to be displayed.
• Artist(s) is/are not expected to be present during the event November 26 through December 19, 2024.
• Sales are allowed up until the moment works are picked up during removal on Friday, December 20, 2024.
• Pieces delivered after the deadline must be approved and arranged with Art Center staff with a specific drop off time coordinated on a specific date.
• If an artist(s) sells more than 5 works, artist(s) are welcome to bring in more works, not to exceed the maximum amount of 25 works for sale at any given time.
• CCAC will take all appropriate measures to monitor our Merry & Bright Art Market inventory. However, CCAC is not held responsible for any damages or theft related to artwork exhibited.
• The artist is responsible for the delivery and removal of all artworks.
• Artists receive 70% of the listed price of the artwork sold. A 30% consignment fee is charged by CCAC.
• Payment will be dispersed via the preferred method selected during vendor registration (either mailed via a physical check OR electronic funds transferred) after the Merry & Bright Art Market fine art sale ends. Every effort will be made to pay artists as quickly as possible. Please allow a period of up to four weeks after the removal date of Marry & Bright Art Market to receive payment.
