All are welcome to join us for our annual Merri Park planting event: caring for Country on Father's Day. We will be planting in the newly fenced section of Merri Park, adjacent to Zoe Circuit: https://maps.app.goo.gl/yYMoi8F5p82zBndj9 The event includes:
- planting semi-aquatic plants with the support of the Merri Creek Management Committee
- BBQ lunch for volunteers (with vegan and halal options)
All ages and abilities are welcome (children under direct supervision of a parent/guardian). There is no expectation for how long you spend at the event - feel free to pop in, even for half an hour.
Tools and gloves will be provided, but please wear sturdy, closed toes shoes, long pants and dress for the weather. Bring your own drinking water.
This event is a Friends of Merri Creek and Merri Creek Management Committee event. This Connecting up Communities Project is supported by the Victorian Government through the Green Links Program, additional support provided by Landcare Victoria in partnership with Creative Climate.
