The Zwaanendael Merman invites you to this exciting program about Mermaids, Mermen, Ningyos and much more! Mermaids come in different forms from all cultures all over the world. Why does everyone have a version of a mermaid and what do they represent? What is that creepy, dried up one on the second floor of the Zwaanendael Museum? (Spoiler: he is a Ningyo from Japan!)
In this program participants will learn about different types of mermaids, where they are from, what might be mistaken for a mermaid, and why we love them. Then, learn a bit more about Zwaanendael Museum’s own merman, including how it was made!
Register for the program using the link, or contact the museum directly.
