Program Description:
This program is for the multidisciplinary teams involved in gunshot wounds and penetrating trauma cases, which includes healthcare professionals, EMS, law enforcement, attorneys, child protective services, and victim advocates.
Speaker for day 2 training is Dr. Bill Smock, MD, Police Surgeon
Accreditation:
· Nursing Education Department of Meritus Health is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

· The criteria for successful completion of today’s educational activity will be required attendance at 100% of activity, attesting to full attendance, and completion of evaluation.

Meritus Medical Center is authorized by the Board of Social Work Examiners in Maryland to sponsor social work continuing education programs and maintains full responsibility for this program. This training qualifies for Category I continuing education units.
