About this Event
Join us for the next East Las Vegas Valley Chapter of the AWS event, at our new location (see map) and new entry fees. We will be discussing the history of Meritage wine (America’s Bordeaux) and it’s roots in the innovation and creativity of American winemakers during the late 20th century, along with the history of the use of the word Meritage in labeling wines. You won’t want to miss this presentation we think you will find it all fascinating.
We will be tasting the varietals used to make up a Meritage blend and lastly the end product, a Meritage wine.
As always this event will be a potluck so please bring your favorite dish to share with others.
No personal alcohol (wine, beer, etc) can be brought into the venue; however, beverages can be purchased at the Eagles bar. It is a cash only bar, there is an ATM machine on site.
This event is NOT free!
NOTICE: we are implementing a new price structure, $20.00 for all AWS members and $25.00 for non-AWS members, per person at the door, only cash will be accepted.
We will be raffling off some great prizes, one raffle ticket is included with the entry fee, additional tickets will be available for purchase, $1.00 a piece or 6 for $5.00.
So join us on Thursday, September 18th, the doors open at 6:30, the presentation will start at 7:00.
