Calling all Scouts! Get ready for Orion’s Merit Badge College, where two action-packed days of learning, exploring, and badge-earning await! Join us at the Garden Ridge Church of Christ on January 24 and February 21, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., for an experience designed for Scouts eager to dive into new skills and make friends along the way. (If you are only able to attend one weekend, you will receive partial credit for the requirements covered while attending.)
Whether you’re interested in building a robot, mastering survival skills, or uncovering the mysteries of nature, Orion’s Merit Badge College has something for everyone. Imagine days packed with hands-on activities, expert guides, and exciting badge challenges that bring you closer to your goals. It’s the perfect opportunity to try new things, ask questions, and make unforgettable memories with other Scouts!

Open Registration: November 3, 2025
Close Registration: January 13, 2026
Registration: Sign up once to attend both weekends! YOU MUST COMPLETE TWO REGISTRATIONS STEPS!!

Lunch Option: Offered by the Order of the Arrow Scouts on the registration page, featuring hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, drinks, and a vegetarian option for $10. You can purchase at the event during registration on the morning of the first day.
Merit Badges offered in 2026:
Artificial Intelligence (NEW!), Astronomy, Camping, Citizenship in the Community, Citizenship in the Nation, Citizenship in the World, Coin Collecting, Composite Materials, Cycling, Dentistry, Emergency Preparedness, Energy, Family Life, First Aid, Genealogy, Graphic Arts, Home Repairs, Inventing, Model Design and Building, Personal Fitness, Personal Management, Public Health, Public Speaking, Reptile and Amphibian Study, Robotics.
Blue Cards (Option): Remember to bring a blue card filled out with scout information for all registered merit badges if your unit leadership prefers this method. Electronic completion reports will be sent to units, so blue cards are not required.
Adult Unit Participation:
Each unit should send 1 adult leader for every 8 scouts attending to handle personnel and unit issues. In addition, units are encouraged to help staff Merit Badge College (1 instructor per 8 scouts attending, this way, we can have 2 in all classrooms – instructor and assistant.)

NOTE: Each scout limited to two Eagle required merit badges, Camping- Highly suggested to have requirement 9a (20 nights camping) already completed, Emergency Preparedness- Prerequisite of First Aid merit badge, First Aid – This course will require two full class periods. Courses subject change based on counselor availability.
