Up until Covid,for 12 years,Steve and his wife Sharon were working in the Cruise Ship Industry, trans-shipping every week to a different ship across Scandinavia,The Med, the Caribbean and Australasia, performing in the ship theatres ,(up to 1,400 pax capacity) to in excess of 2 million people since 2008.
Steve's show....."Steve Larkins is Mercury Rising" is a comedic theatrical performance of Queen's Greatest Hits,
an inter-active and hilarious spoof on the cliche of rock star performance.
Since it's inception in 2,000, Mercury Rising", the show has never failed to satisfy. It's a winning entertainment formula.
In 2017, Steve was one of the five nominees for "Princess Cruises International Entertainer of the Year".
Also in 2017, the Variety Artists Club of New Zealand awarded Steve the Lou Clauson Top Variety Artist Award.
Prior to Mercury Rising, Steve has toured with Sir Dave Dobbyn, Ardijah, Midge Marsden, Ray Colombus, Larry Morris, Shane Hales, When the Cat's Away, the Hello Sailor members(in different line-ups) Rikki Morris
