You’re in for a treat!We’ve crafted an experience to explore Lindy Hop connection together, where we nerd out and improve our dancing through exercises, games, prompts, rhythms, small choreographies, and social dance. This session is about improving our dancing, our playfulness, our creativity, and our musicality. With 9 sessions and 18 hours of time together, our hope is to dig-in even further into the mechanics of partnering with open-ended patterns and a lot of dancing! The ultimate goal is organically improvisational dancing, aka, to have our connection and on-the-dance-floor communication looking and feeling better than ever. Join us!
Pre-req: You should be able to comfortably execute a swing out to a medium tempo song (170bpm), know basic 6ct and 8ct patterns, and are comfortable learning some easy tricks and lifts. Level: Intermediate +
The first practice will be Thursday, October 2nd, 2025 and will run for 9 sessions! Since this is a team experience, there are no drop-ins for individual classes, but please attend the first night if you are interested. Also, please note the dates are not concurrent, as there will be a Thursday off before Halloween, and on Thanksgiving. The dates are: THURSDAYS, Oct 2nd, 9th, 16th, and 23rd, Nov 6th, 13th, 20th, and Dec 4th, 11th.
Dues are $140 if paid in full, or $75 in two installments. $50/month Student rate.
The Mercury Retros are an open team, meaning anyone can join, no audition required. No partner required either. Bring one if you’d like, though we will all dance with each other at practices.

NO STREET SHOES allowed at MOVE! studio. Also, NO FOOD OR DRINK other than water! Please bring a clean pair of dance shoes to change into, along with your water bottles. Wear clothes you feel comfortable moving and stretching in.
