In February 2025, The Warming Shelter launched our Tiered Operations program. Since then, we’ve seen tremendous progress and meaningful forward movement. This program was designed with one core purpose: to prepare clients for successful reintegration into the community and long‑term, sustainable living.
This evidence-based program focuses on equipping clients with the foundational skills they need to rebuild their lives in a stronger, more stable way. A key part of this work is helping clients develop positive support networks and build healthy self‑esteem.
Our mentorship program has been created to connect clients with strong role models. People who can be a steady, encouraging presence as they rebuild their lives and even after they move into housing. The goals of this program include helping clients form long‑term, positive support systems, offering regular workshops, and surrounding them with consistent encouragement as they navigate challenges and celebrate victories.
This is where you come in.
We are looking for dedicated mentors who can meet with their mentee twice a month and be available for a supportive phone call when things get tough.
This is a simple but powerful way to make a lasting impact through time, care, and genuine connection.
If you’re interested, we invite you to join our information session, where you can ask questions, learn more, and sign up to become a mentor. We also welcome individuals who would like to host workshops focused on skill‑building and life skills.
