WHAT IS MENTOR WALKS?
The concept is simple: you and up to two other aspiring mentees spend an hour walking and talking around the Sydney Harbour with an exceptional female mentor. It’s a safe and supportive space to get clear on your career progression, discuss work worries, share experiences and build meaningful relationships.
WHO IS IT BEST FOR?
Mentor Walks is for aspiring women at every stage of their career - early, mid or late - and you are welcome to attend as many times as you like.
Whether you’re feeling stuck in your career and need change, are striving for leadership and want help building confidence and learning new strategies to rise up, or are simply keen to meaningfully connect with a network of fantastic women, you’ll leave Mentor Walks feeling refreshed and ready to step forward.
WHO ARE THE MENTORS?
Our mentors are the real deal. They are diverse CEOs, directors, executives, entrepreneurs and trail-blazing leaders in their fields. They intimately understand the pressures and problems faced by professional women in Sydney and share the same mission: to help women succeed and get the career guidance they need.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The Mentor Walks magic lies in our ability to hand-match you with the mentor best suited to support you. When you book, we’ll ask you a little bit about your professional background and what you’d like to discuss. There’s no question too big, too small or too vague, and it’s okay if you don’t have a specific issue at all! The purpose of Mentor Walks is to help you get clarity and step forward.
WHAT ARE THE FINER DETAILS?
The walk starts at 7:10am and finishes at 8:30am.
Throw on whatever is comfortable to walk in - that can just be a pair of joggers over your work outfit, or activewear.
We will meet at the Sydney Opera House and walk through the Botanic Gardens.
Conditions of participation: Mentor Walks prioritises the health, safety and wellbeing of our community and abides by the Government's COVID safe guidelines for Sydney, NSW.
NOTE: Due to the ever changing nature of the pandemic, there is always a chance restrictions can be imposed that will impact our event that are out of our control. Should this occur we will contact you to advise alternative arrangements for this event.
