A pandémia egy új járványt indított el, ami a gyermekek és fiatalok mentális egészségét érinti. A kamaszok korosztályában az öngyilkosság lett az egyik vezető halálok az utóbbi években. Számos kihívással nézünk szembe, amelyek megoldásra várnak az egészségügy, a szocális-, és oktatási szektorokat is beleértve. A pedagógusok ellehetetlenülnek és nehéz helyzetbe kerülhetnek azáltal, hogy nincs megfelelő eszközük arra, hogyan kezeljék a magas szorongással, önsértéssel és öngyilkossági gondolatokkal küzdő kamaszokat. További nehézségeket okoznak az ellátórendszer hiányosságai.
A londoni Anna Freud Centre (AFC), a pécsi Magyar Mentalizációs Egyesület, a budapesti Pro Juventa Alapítvány és a Murmo Szakpszichológiai és Művészetterápiás Központ szervezésében nemzetközileg elismert előadók érkeznek hozzánk párhuzamos képzést tartani mentalizáció alapú felnőtt (MBT) -, és kamaszterápiás (MBT-A) módszerekből. Ezek av evidencia alapú terápiás módszertanok az egész társadalom érdekét szolgálják Európa szerte.

A mentalizáció alapú terápiát (MBT) eredetileg borderline személyiségzavarral élő pácienseknek fejlesztették ki, de hatékonynak bizonyult más pszichés rendellenességek kezelésében is, mint például a személyiségzavar, depresszió, szerhasználat és egyéb duál-diagnózisok esetén. Illetve bizonyítottan hatékonyan alkalmazható terápiás módszer magas szorongással, önsértéssel és öngyilkossági gondolatokkal küzdő kamaszok esetében is.
A mentalizáció emberi mivoltunk sajátja, ami által próbáljuk saját magunk és mások érzelmi állapotait helyesen beazonosítani, viselkedését megérteni.
Az MBT képzést Anthony Bateman az MBT-A képzést Holly Dwyer Hall és Maria Svernell tartja. A konferencia plenáris előadója prof.dr Fónagy Péter és Anthony Bateman.
A képzések maximum létszáma 40 fő, és 30 fővel indulnak a képzési napok.
A rendezvény alatt végig magyar nyelvű szinkrontolmácsolás biztosított a résztvevők számára.
A párhuzamos képzés ideje alatt célunk az is, hogy a felnőtt és kamasz kliensekkel dolgozó szakemberek tudjanak találkozni, és szakmai kapcsolódások mentén közös gondolkozás indulhasson a 18-25 éves korosztály ellátásáról, amely életkor átmenetet képez a gyermek-, és serdülő valamint a felnőtt ellátóhelyek között.
Az MBT képzés (felnőtt és kamasz terápia esetében is) egy lépcsőzetesen felépülő program, aminek első eleme, az alapozó kurzus (3 nap) kerül megrendezésre idén novemberben. Ennek elvégzése után szupervíziós fázis következik, és miután az elemi készségek megfelelő szinten megszilárdultak, a terapeuta elvégezheti a következő, haladóknak szánt képzést. További szupervízió melletti munka után következik a harmadik tréning, ami szupervízori címhez vezet.

The pandemic has triggered a new wave of mental health concerns among children and adolescents. Suicide has become a leading cause of death for teenagers in recent years. Numerous challenges confront healthcare, social services, and education sectors. Educators often feel overwhelmed and lack proper tools to handle teenagers struggling with high anxiety, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts. The shortcomings of support systems further complicate the situation.
Internationally renowned speakers will be coming to Budapest under the organization of the Anna Freud Centre (AFC) in London, the Hungarian Association for Mentalization (Magyar Mentalizációs Egyesület) in Pécs, the Pro Juventa Foundation and Murmo Centre for Psychology and Art Therapy in Budapest. They will deliver concurrent training programs in MBT (Mentalization-Based Therapy) for adults and MBT-A (Mentalization-Based Treatment for Adolescents). These evidence based therapeutic approaches serve the greater society across Europe.

About Mentalization-Based Therapy (MBT):
Mentalization is a uniquely human ability that allows us to accurately identify our own and others' emotional states and understand their behavior.
Originally developed for patients with borderline personality disorder, MBT has proven effective in treating various other mental health conditions, including personality disorders, depression, substance abuse, and co-occurring disorders. It has also demonstrated success in treating adolescents struggling with high anxiety, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts.
The Training:
The MBT training for adults is led by Anthony Bateman, while the MBT-A training for adolescents is led by Holly Dwyer Hall and Maria Svernell. The conference will feature plenary presentations by Prof. Dr. Peter Fonagy and Anthony Bateman.
The maximum number of participants at the trainings is 40 people. If many more people apply, we will certainly organize another training course.
Simultaneous Translation:
Throughout the event, simultaneous translation into Hungarian will be provided for participants.
Networking Opportunities:
The parallel training sessions will also provide opportunities for professionals working with adult and adolescent clients to meet and foster professional connections. This will facilitate collaborative thinking about the care of the 18-25 age group, which represents a transitional period between child and adolescent care and adult care settings.
The MBT Training Program:
The MBT training (for both adults and adolescents) is a step-by-step program. The first element is the basic course (3 days), which will be held in November of this year. After completing this course, participants will enter a supervision phase. Once the basic skills have been sufficiently consolidated, the therapist can then complete the next training level, which is designed for advanced learners. This is followed by further supervised work and then the third training, which leads to the supervisor title.
