Many people make the mistake of focusing solely on training and “gains”, when recovery is just as, if not MORE, important. While recovery is also traditionally viewed in physical form as well, the difference is mental.Know you need to stretch, but “can’t”. Been told rest days are necessary, but “the race is soon”. Doing what is best for ourselves can be the hardest thing to do.
