Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) teaches you how to help someone who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge. This session is part of a nationwide, evidence-based training program, tailored for the adult population.
Whether you’re a professional, student, caregiver, or community member β€” you can make a difference.
🧩 Training Format: Blended Adult MHFA with Virtual ILT
This course includes:
β€’ Pre-course work on MHFA Connect (self-paced, required before session)
β€’ Live Virtual Instructor-Led Training (ILT) on August 25
β€’ This format allows flexibility and accessibility while maintaining engagement and interaction.
βœ… What You’ll Learn:
You’ll gain skills to:
β€’ Identify common signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use challenges in adults.
β€’ Respond with empathy and clarity in a mental health crisis.
β€’ Use the MHFA Action Plan (ALGEE) to assess and assist.
β€’ Connect individuals to appropriate care and resources.
