Mental Health First Aid Training (4 sessions)

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among adults. This is an in person training and attendance is required for all four sessions (July 8, 10, 15, and 17 from 11am - 1pm) as this training leads to certification as a Mental Health First Aider through the National Council on Mental Wellbeing.The course will teach you how to apply the MHFA Action Plan (ALGEE) Assess for the risk of suicide or harm, Listen nonjudgmentally, Give reassurance and information, Encourage appropriate professioal help, Encourage self-help and other support strategies.
