Mental Health First Aid is an early intervention public education program. It teaches adults how to recognize the signs and symptoms that suggest a potential mental health challenge, how to listen nonjudgmentally and give reassurance to a person who may be experiencing a mental health challenge, and how to refer a person to appropriate professional support and services.Family members and personnel working with military, veterans, and families are often not aware of how to engage those with mental illnesses and addictions. In addition to the impact of military service on the service member and veteran, each has a circle of family and friends who are also impacted by their military service.
Military, Veterans, and their Families - Mental Health First Aid offers a tailored curriculum that builds upon the effectiveness of the standard Mental Health First Aid curriculum by focusing on the unique experiences and needs of the military, veteran, and their families population.
Military, Veterans, and their Families Mental Health First Aid consists of 7.5 hours of instructor-led training.
----- Training Seats are $125 each and are inclusive of instruction materials, onsite amenities (snacks, coffee, etc), and certification. **We have made a limited number of "Equity Seats" available at a reduced rate to ensure accessibility and affordability.**
