Gain your certificate in an accredited course on Mental Health First Aid , lead by our trained MH clinicians, specifically designed for individuals operating with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Learn how to assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander adults who are developing a mental health problem, experiencing a worsening of an existing mental health problem or in a mental health crisis. This small-group styled training results in a 3-year accreditation on successful completion of an online open book quiz.
12 hours of training is mandatory to be eligible for accreditation, so ensure you are not late for these trainer-lead, immersive sessions.
Your Mental Health First Aid Instructor is Nicole (Nix) - a proud Quandamooka Nunukal nugi woman serving her community in a number of roles, including a lifetime of professional art and music performance, and work in public health as a registered nurse since 2005, supporting mental health patients across hospital and community settings.
Fees ($295) cover all materials, text book provided, online assessment for accreditation and GST.
