About this Event
NAMI Metropolitan Baltimore warmly invites Baltimore City and County Faith Leaders of all denominations to join us for a transformative day of learning and collaboration at our annual free educational conference, held every May during Mental Health Awareness Month.
One in 5, or 284,000 people in Baltimore live with a mental health condition, and 1 in 3 young adults report feeling anxious or depressed.
In today's world, Faith Leaders play a vital role not only in spiritual guidance but also in supporting mental health within their communities. This event is designed to equip you with valuable insights and resources to effectively navigate the complexities of mental health issues within your congregation.
Join us as we delve into crucial topics including:
- Leadership in Times of Local & Global Crisis: Discover strategies for guiding your community through challenging times with resilience and compassion.
- Supporting Youth & Young Adult Mental Health: Gain valuable insights into addressing the unique mental health needs of young people within your congregation.
- Navigating Compassion Fatigue in Faith Leadership: Learn how to recognize and manage compassion fatigue to sustain your own well-being while providing support to others.
- Building Mental Health Supports in Your Congregation: Explore practical ways to create a supportive environment for mental health awareness and assistance within your faith community.
Don't miss this opportunity to connect with fellow faith leaders, exchange ideas, and enhance your ability to make a positive impact on mental health in Baltimore. Together, we can create communities where everyone feels supported and understood.
