About this Event
NAMI Metropolitan Baltimore warmly invites faith leaders serving in Baltimore City and County to join us for a transformative day of learning and connection at our Mental Health Education Conference for Faith Leaders on Wednesday, May 29th from 9:00am - 12:00pm. This conference will be held at Morgan State University's Counseling Center.
One in 5, or 284,000 people in Baltimore live with a mental health condition, and 1 in 3 young adults report feeling anxious or depressed.
In today's world, faith leaders and lay leaders play a vital role not only in spiritual guidance but also in supporting mental health within their communities. This event is designed to equip you with valuable insights and resources to effectively navigate the complexities of mental health issues within your congregation.

Who is NAMI Metropolitan Baltimore?
NAMI is the National Alliance on Mental Illness. At NAMI Metropolitan Baltimore, we envision a world where all people affected by mental illness lead healthy, fulfilling lives supported by a community that cares.
We're a small staff of 13, and a core of over 200 volunteers, each with their own personal tie to NAMI's mental health mission. We provide advocacy, education, support, and public awareness around mental health issues. Our programs are geared towards individuals, caregivers, and community leaders in a variety of settings. You are not alone!
In 2024, we reached a record 20,061 service touchpoints in Baltimore affected by mental health conditions through our support groups, classes, and community education programs. We're committed to touching more lives, each and every day. If you are interested in helping us reach even more, we encourage you to reach out, and to check out our website at www.namibaltimore.org
