Mental Health Discussion Series: Fear

At Family Service of Lake County we believe that stronger families make stronger communitie. That’s why we have developed a new mental health workshop series for children and parents.

These 30 minute workshops will focus on the 6 emotions we all experience: Fear, Anger, Sadness, Happiness, Disgust, Suprise. These skill-based events will teach children language needed to express their feelings, coping strategies to help them regulate their emotions, and an art activity to build engagement and promote the use of skills.

All of the information presented in these workshop are developed from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Art Therapy.
