Welcome to the Mental Health Conference!

MENtal Health – Big Boys Don’t Cry. A conference exploring the issues around men’s mental health. Suicide is the biggest cause of death in men under the age of fifty and around three quarters of deaths from suicides each year are men; suicides registered in 2022 were 4,179 male deaths or 74.1%, which is equivalent to 16.4 deaths per 100,000.

What are the issues faced today by men? There will be speakers representing several areas where mental health issues might arise. This conference aims to break down the barriers and stigma around men’s mental health; to demonstrate the need for healthy relationships; communication; showing where men can go for support; and to value the men in our lives.
