About this Event

The conference agenda includes a keynote presentation from Andy Keller, Ph.D. and a panel discussion with various elected officials, business leaders, and advocacy nonprofit leaders. Dr. Keller is the President and Chief Executive Officer of The Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute in Dallas, TX. During this conference, Dr. Keller will review current models of care, in addition to mental health advocacy opportunities to improve access and quality. Dr. Keller will also emphasize the importance of evidence-based care in behavioral health.

Upon completion of the program, the learner will:

  • Distinguish between how current healthcare delivery systems organize care for mental health versus other physical health conditions.
  • Identify the policy opportunities at local, state and national levels to accelerate transformation toward evidence-based care.
  • Identify the policy changes that have been made to date and that still need to be made in order to promote better integrated and more effective behavioral health care.
