MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS TRAINING

This farming-focused mental health awareness course has been organised by the Farmer Network and is aimed at farmers and those working with farmers.

Delivered by RABI (the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution), this half-day course will teach the basic tools to recognise signs of those experiencing poor mental health. It will include:

• Understanding mental health and its importance
• Recognising key signs and symptoms
• Looking after your own wellbeing
• Build confidence in talking about mental health.

The training day will be in "The Gavel" function room at Penrith Auction mart and lunch will be provided. The course is free of charge with thanks to the Defra Welfare Fund.
